The BMP-3 is a Russian tracked infantry fighting vehicle with unusually heavy firepower — a 100 mm gun-launcher plus a 30 mm autocannon — that is fully amphibious via water jets, carrying a squad while out-gunning most IFVs in main caliber.

The BMP-3's dual armament (100 mm 2A70 firing shells and gun-launched ATGMs, plus a 30 mm 2A72) gives it more main-caliber punch than Western IFVs, and water jets make it truly amphibious. The trade-off is thin armor on a low hull: against modern IFVs with better optics/fire-control and against top-attack ATGMs and loitering munitions it is vulnerable.
